Darts t-shirt for anyone who does not leave a 180 to luck but works it out. A dartboard is printed on the chest as a technical drawing: dimension lines, center lines, angle notes and a number ring, as if an engineer had designed the perfect visit on a drafting table. At the very top three darts sit tightly side by side in the 20, and a thin leader arrow carries the label TRIPLE-20.0. That is nearly all there is to know about this design, and it still rewards a second look.
The board is shown straight on, nearly all of its segments filled in dark anthracite and separated by light and gold lines. The 20 bed from the bull outward and the outer single area at the top by 5, 20 and 1 stay open: there the shirt color shows and frames exactly the spot where the darts sit. The double and triple rings appear as narrow bands, the bull in the middle as a double circle, and dashed center lines cross right inside it. A number ring with gray, slightly raised-looking digits runs around the board in the order of a tournament board: 20 at the top, 1 and 18 to its right, 5 and 12 to its left, and 3 at the bottom. Anyone who plays regularly finds their favorite numbers without searching and sees right away that someone who knows the game was at work here.
Around the board run dimensions as on a real blueprint: long dimension chains along the edges, small arrows marking radii and spacing, degree values for the angles of the segments. The numbers belong to the artwork and are not real measurements of a board; they give the picture the character of a technical drawing. Everything stays within a few tones: anthracite, gold, white and a cool gray. The three darts have gold barrels with a finely knurled grip, slim shafts and flights laid out only as a light outline. The design has no background of its own, so the shirt color sits right behind it and becomes the paper of the drawing: on dark fabric the gold and white lines stand out, on lighter fabric the anthracite and the gray digits come forward.
On the back the visual style changes on purpose. There sits a colorful symbol in a flat graphic style: a square section of a dartboard in blue, white, light gray, red and green. A dart with a green shaft comes in from the top right, its flights in light blue, orange and green; it reaches past the top edge of the square and lands in the bull. At the lower right a corner of the square is cut away, and there the number 180 stands in bold white digits. The front shows the calculation, the back the result, and whoever wears the shirt carries both.
This darts t-shirt is worn by players who already have the checkout in their head between two throws, by league teams that like to tinker and by everyone who works with drawings, tolerances and measurements. It suits league night, a tournament at the clubhouse, an evening in front of the TV when the World Championship runs over New Year, and everyday life. As a gift it works for a birthday, for Christmas, for a first 180 in a league match, for passing the master craftsman exam or for the colleague from the design office who steps up to the oche in the evening. Whole teams can order it together, so at away matches everyone knows who does the math.
The premium shirt is printed only after you order, front and back. The manufacturer describes it as a heavy shirt with a relaxed fit. If you want a darts t-shirt with brains that needs no slogan and still makes sense to everyone at the oche, this one puts the blueprint of a 180 on your chest and the result on your back.
