All-over print polar bear family T-shirt: a mother bear and her two cubs gaze up at you from the chest, framed by the northern lights. Three large ice crystals drift on the wind across the back.
Product description
On this Polar Bear Family T-Shirt, a whole family is looking at you, and from below: you look down on a mother bear and her two cubs as if from the air, and all three raise their heads and look you straight in the eye. This unusual perspective is what makes the design feel so close. It is as if you had just spotted the three of them in the snow, and they had spotted you too. The scene is painted as a watercolor in many shades of blue, with turquoise and mint in the sky and white fur that shimmers almost cream in places.
The mother bear takes up the center of the chest. Her head is stretched upward, her dark eyes are fixed on you, her black nose glistens, and her closed mouth with slightly drooping corners gives her a calm, almost serious expression. The fur around her neck and chest is painted thick and shaggy, with blue and pale beige shadows. At the very bottom of her body rest two mighty paws, their claws standing out dark against the white. The cubs stay close at her left and right. Both raise their heads as well, both have round ears, big dark eyes and a small smile around the snout. A hint of mint lies in the pale chest fur of the cubs, as if the northern lights were rubbing off on them, and their little paws show dark claws too. Around the three of them, the snow splashes up in white and deep blue, like a hollow where the family huddles together.
Behind the family, the aurora rises. From the left and from the right, ribbons of light in turquoise, mint and blue reach upward, forming a great arc around the mother's head and meeting below the neckline in bright, almost white streaks. Here and there, snowflakes sparkle against the light blue of the sky. Turn the shirt around and you will find no bears, but three large ice crystals with six branching arms. The largest floats left of center, and two smaller ones sit to its right, one higher up and one lower down. Around them, sweeping bands of wind in turquoise and white curve diagonally upward, as if the polar wind were driving the crystals along, with tiny star-shaped flakes glittering in between. The sleeves pick up this mood: a blue watercolor sky with slanting turquoise streaks of light and white flakes, with a few tiny stars on one sleeve, no animals and no lettering.
Four panels carry the picture, namely the chest, the back and each of the two sleeves, and everywhere it runs right into the seams. The material is midweight, has a smooth surface and stretches along in two directions. The fabric panels are printed before sewing, so where front, back and sleeves meet, the edges of the image do not always line up to the millimeter. The picture was drawn by an artificial intelligence, starting from just a few words about bears on the ice and the northern lights. That makes this a winter design you wear all the way around.
The shirt makes a gift for anyone with their own little gang of three: for moms with two kids, for parents who like to match with their little ones, for grandma and grandpa, for godparents and for anyone who melts at the sight of bear cubs. Under the Christmas tree, for St. Nicholas Day, for a winter birthday or simply as a treat for the bear collector among your loved ones: the design needs no slogan and still tells a story of togetherness. If you love the Arctic, dream of seeing the northern lights with your own eyes, or find ice crystals under a magnifying glass fascinating, this Polar Bear Family T-Shirt is a piece of winter to wear. And if penguins, seals or reindeer are more your thing, you can design your very own artwork at Isakum in your own words.
