Firefighter dad t-shirt for the father who is out the door faster than anyone when the pager goes off. Across the top of the chest the German words Feuerwehr Papa, meaning firefighter dad, run in a gentle arch. Below them sits a red fire helmet with a blue emergency light on top, and at the bottom comes the line every firefighter family smiles at: Wie ein normaler Papa nur mit Blaulicht. In English that reads like a normal dad, just with a blue light. The slogan is printed in German, exactly as written here.
The helmet is shown from the side, facing left from your point of view. Its red shell has white highlights and the rounded, swept shape known from many German fire departments. The visor is down and has a golden sheen. A black mount sits on the side, and a dark neck guard drops down at the back. On top of the shell stands a small blue light on a black base, with blue rays shooting out in every direction as if the call just came in. The lettering is white with a strong dark outline. Feuerwehr Papa runs over the helmet in wide, rounded letters, the slogan below is split into four lines, and the last word, Blaulicht, is the largest, closed with a period.
You can add the back as a second print area. It shows a hose reel like the ones mounted on the wall of nearly every fire station: a red drum with spokes and a black hub full of bolts, a pale hose with a thin red stripe wound around it coil after coil, all carried by a black stand. At the lower right the hose comes down off the drum and ends in a brass nozzle with a lever, pointing toward the lower left.
The sleeves have their own motif as well: on each sleeve a silver adjustable wrench with a red grip, surrounded by three blue water drops. On the left sleeve the wrench runs from upper left to lower right, on the right sleeve it lies the other way around. The whole design has a comic look with thick outlines and clear areas of red, white, gold and blue. There are no tiny fiddly details, so every part can be recognized from a distance.
As a gift, this shirt strikes exactly the tone firefighter families know: a little proud, a little tongue in cheek. It works for Father's Day, a birthday, under the Christmas tree or for the birth of a first child when the new dad has long been part of the crew. Kids like to give it to their dad, partners to their partner, and some fire companies hand it over at the station for a milestone birthday. Since there is no town name, crest or number in the design, it suits any volunteer or career fire department. Some families tuck in a photo from the last station party, with dad standing at the grill, and the gift tells its own story.
Printing is digital and starts only after you order. The front with lettering, helmet and slogan is always printed. The hose reel on the back and the wrenches on the sleeves are added at checkout as extra print areas if you want the shirt to tell the full story. That makes this firefighter dad t-shirt exactly the gift you had in mind: the slogan on the front for a laugh, and on request the station gear on the back and sleeves.
