Product description
The price includes the front print. Add the back and sleeves above under “Print”.
Deer t-shirt for anyone who is outside before sunrise and knows how quiet a mountain lake can be at that hour. On the chest a stag looks straight at you, drawn like an old woodcut. Its antlers reach far to the left and right with many points on each beam, and between them rises a snowy range of sharp peaks. Across the antlers runs a single word in tall, slightly worn capitals: WILDTIERE, German for wild animals or wildlife. There is no other lettering anywhere on the design.
The head is shaded with fine lines. Light strokes trace the forehead, the bridge of the nose and the two ears that stick out to the sides, the eyes look calmly ahead, and the fur on the neck feels thick and rough. Below the head the neck turns into a night landscape. A pale crescent moon hangs in the middle of the chest, beneath it lies a ridge with snowfields, and slim spruces stand guard on both sides. In front of the mountains a lake mirrors peaks and trees, and toward the bottom the reflection breaks into vertical strokes, as if the whole scene were slowly sinking into the water. From a few meters away you see the stag; up close you discover the lake inside it.
Add the back when you order and the story continues. A tall oval shows the same lake at night: the crescent moon at the upper left, a sky made of horizontal lines, a large peak with pale ridges in the middle and dense conifer forest on its slopes. In the foreground a path runs along the shore between tufts of grass and stones, and on that path a trail of hoof prints leads from the bottom edge to the water, large at the front and smaller and smaller toward the back. Any hunter reads it at once: something came down to drink during the night. Each sleeve can also carry a mountain range with snowfields and a row of spruces at its foot.
Who is this deer t-shirt for? For hunters who sit in the cabin after an early stand and talk about what crossed the edge of the forest. For the person who leases a hunting ground and knows every trail in it. For hikers, wildlife photographers and everyone who drives to the woods in autumn just to hear the stags roar during the rut. And for anyone looking for a gift for a hunter that does not look like a joke shirt: for a new hunting license, a birthday, Christmas or as a thank you to the friend who handled the dogs at the last drive.
The style skips gradients and works with clear dark areas and bright highlights, just like a print from a carved block. That keeps the design readable from a distance: one head, one word, one landscape. The contrast shows best on light shirts. Moon and snow are printed as bright areas and the water shines in pale streaks, like highlights in the dark woodcut. Off the hunting ground it fits just as well, at the local pub table, in the yard or at a trophy show in spring.
About the shirt: the fabric is cotton; the heathered shades mix in polyester, between a trace and roughly half. It is printed digitally once your order has come in. The stag head and the lettering on the chest are always included; whether the tracks by the lake go on the back and the mountains on the sleeves is up to you when you order.
