Biker Santa in sunglasses: on the front he rides a chopper with tall ape hanger bars straight towards you, beard streaming in the wind and his full gift sack behind him on the left. Back and sleeves can be added with matching biker designs.
Product description
This Biker Santa T-shirt is for anyone who would rather hear an engine in December than sleigh bells. On the front, Santa rides a chopper straight towards you, the bike leaned hard into a bend and the fat front tyre so close it looks ready to roll right out of the picture. The reindeer and the sleigh have apparently been left at home. Dark sunglasses sit beneath the white fur trim of his red hat, his brow is creased above them, his mouth hangs slightly open as if he were shouting something into the headwind, and his long white beard streams far to the right in the wind, along with the tip of his hat and its white pompom.
Anyone who loves motorcycles will spot the details. The handlebar is a tall ape hanger: on the left of the picture it climbs steeply, and up there a fist in a black glove grips the end, his arm raised high in a red sleeve with a white fur cuff. His other hand holds the lower grip on the right. Between two chrome fork tubes sits a large round headlight, with the fork springs visible below it. Wide white fur trim sits above each black boot, and the boots rest on ribbed footpegs on either side. Behind the rider on the left, a fat brown sack peeks out with a cord wrapped around its neck, and two presents stick out of the top: a green parcel with a red ribbon and bow, and a cream one, also with a red bow.
If you like, the story carries on across the back, this time without the rider. There, a big red sack leans against a white roadside stone with a rounded top and a broad black band. A cream parcel with a red bow pokes out of it, with a green one behind, also tied in red; a pale rope is wound around the neck of the sack, both ends finishing in tassels. An adjustable wrench lies at an angle in front of it among stones and gravel, its jaw turned towards the stone. Whether a bolt has just been tightened or Santa is simply catching his breath is up to you. The sleeves get a matching pair: on each one a skull in profile wearing a red Santa hat with white fur trim and pompom, red flames blazing behind it, mirrored on the second sleeve. The front design is always printed; the back and sleeves are only included if you tick them when you order.
The whole thing is styled like an old biker poster: bold black outlines, dense hatching across beard, fur and tyre, hard blocks of shadow and a fine grain reminiscent of screen-printed posters. The palette stays tight, with plenty of red and black, cream for the beard and fur, the cool grey of the chrome, brown for the sack and a single touch of green in one present. It is the many greys in the chrome and the deep black of the tyre that give the picture its depth. The design needs no frame or background; it sits large on the chest and goes just as well with jeans as with a leather jacket or a flannel shirt. It never tips into kitsch; it feels more like a poster from a motorcycle workshop that someone has given a festive twist for the occasion.
As a Christmas gift for men who ride, tinker with old bikes or are already planning their first spring run in the middle of winter, the Biker Santa T-shirt strikes a tone between a wink and real respect for the machine. It belongs under the tree for the dad whose bike spends the cold months in the garage, in the Secret Santa pile at the motorcycle club, or with the mate who would happily squeeze in one more ride on Christmas Eve. And since petrol in the veins has nothing to do with gender, women riders wear it just as happily. The neckline and shoulders are finished with tape, and the sleeves and hem are double-stitched. Pick the colour of the tee and your size on the product page. And if you are shopping for a whole group of riders, this is a present that will keep the table talking for a while.
